An aside from the Delight Conference 2014… Hearing Dave Gray talking about how consultants are liminal tricksters was arresting. He anchored the concept in a long classical mythology, though his illustration using a rabbit reminded me of William Holland’s provocative Gun Bunny hanging on my office wall… The point is that we can be positively subversive within the system, using a variety of measures including the conversational, and reminding us that silence, pausing and listening allows a fuller array of stories to be revealed in their varying perspectives.
Genevieve Bell had a stunning presentation about the constants of the human condition and those elements that are changing. Her reflections on Heidegger were thoughtful, and I look forward to exploring his ideas on chatter soon…
