A 2010 study by Matthew Killingsworth and Daniel Gilbert, researchers at Harvard University, reported here in the Harvard Gazette, found that people were happiest when making love, exercising, or engaging in conversation, and that they were more mentally attentive to the present, rather than the past or imagined future.
In terms of your business activities, perhaps we should be looking at ways we can encourage conversation as a means to keep teams focused on tasks at hand and short-term goals, as well as for employee engagement and satisfaction. In any event, it’s probably the better workplace option of the three…
